Advanced Strategic Command is a strategy game set in the two-dimensional world. During gameplay you'll take part in the struggles with the alien, technologically advanced civilization somewhat similar to that Earthlings.
There was given to our disposal a full arsenal of equipment, both riding, flying and floating. We’ll find here aircraft carriers, submarines, work stations, airships, airplanes, helicopters and even flying fortresses and space stations! However, not everything is direct for combat, we mean even transporters, combat support ships, equipment machinery or gold and silver deposits detectors. In total, we can get more than one hundred types of active, mechanical objects for different purposes. It's still not everything, because we can build towers, buildings, trenches, pipelines, airports, dams and roads.
With low hardware requirements almost everyone can install the game on their computer. When we beginning playing, we can see board consisting of the so-called hexes, on which we'll be constructing objects. Characteristic feature is also divided into rounds, during which we can change our mode of defensive units on the offensive and vice versa. Each unit is shooting at the enemy, as long as it will be in range. As you probably guessed it's limited - one field is intended only for one unit, even if this works only under water or in the air and is don't above the ground.
Interestingly, during gameplay at the Advanced Strategic Command, nothing happens by accident, and the outcome of the fight depends on the individual statistics (strength, force of weapons etc.), terrain, level of experience and many others. There is also interesting fact as "fog of war", which introduces an element of risk and masking in certain areas. Respecting game modes you can play alone in single-option or try your hand at multiplayer competition. The first option gives you a choice from 3 campaigns, two of which, unfortunately, have only the German language version.
They're featured by relatively high levels of difficulty, which may discourage beginners. Another option is Skirimish, which is free play on any of the maps without any restrictions. Mention the multiplayer mode, we can’t forget about the playback function of your opponent's turn, and even save clips from the game as video files. Advanced Strategic Command is based primarily on the proper tactics and skills to predict next moves. We need to ensure about the equivalent development of land, sea and air, so as not to be surprised by enemies.
Don't worry, you have no chance to get bored - even battlefield is variable, as we see here the changes of weather affecting the functioning of individual units. Of course you ‘ll find in this title some disadvantages, like the low resolution and lack of the standard view with net, but fortunately they’re knowhow have up to high playability title. Undoubtedly we'll be forced to think and use interesting units and objects to win the war. Just a little bit of good will and self-control service and the best tactics will come easily to us.
